Hunger - Project 52-12

This photo is about different kind of hunger: the hunger to be creative. I love making things even though I don't seem to be able to find or make the time to do this very often. Danita & I helped host a baby shower recently for a very special couple expecting twins, and I made the diaper cake using some inspiration I used from Pinterest. I must admit it turned out better than I had hoped.

I used one package of newborn diapers, which I folded instead of rolled.  I also used some ribbon, twine, wooden skewers, and scrapbook paper.  I printed the letters on my printer and made the stars with my new paper punch.  Assembling it was a little tricky, but once I got the first layer done it wasn't too hard.

The Eyes of March, Project 52-11

Look at these eyes...

Look a little lonely, huh?  This is Buster, who spent most of last week with us while his family (Brie & Brodie & their parents) went on a trip for Spring Break.  He was a good dog and wasn't too much trouble.  He likes to take long naps, eat, take long naps, mark his territory outside, and take long naps.  He was one happy dog when his people returned home!

Be Still, Project 52-10

When we visited with our son & his family, we went to dinner about 45 minutes away.  I took the opportunity of the stillness and quiet to take  photos out of the car window.

Visiting the Dublin Grandsons

Visiting our son & his family is always a wonderful little get-away. It is especially wonderful to spend time with our grandsons who are growing up so quickly. The changes in them each time we see them is mind boggling, and it is definitely entertaining when we are around them.

This last visit was filled with movie watching,

playing, (Spiderman was in the house)

eating (Dane loved Poppa's deer jerky)
We even had a mini adventure when Gabe & Poppa captured a lizard that had crawled into Dane's bedroom via his open window. (Can we say YUK????) I am just glad they caught it or I probably would not have been able to sleep. Of course, Dane was not one bit scared of the creature!!

A Great Leap - Project 52-9

Not much inspiration or time this week for "A Great Leap."  I did however notice this beautiful tree in full bloom, and thought about how it took a great leap and bloomed even though there is still a chance of another freeze in spite of the mild winter we have had.

That is kind of like what we have to do--just take a leap knowing there might be obstacles or dificulties.  We just have to bloom and trust that God's will prevails always.
