I really have fallen for the beautiful pedestal vases that many bloggers have been using to decorate. There was one at Hobby Wobby (as my grandson calls it) that I adored, but it was $29.99. I was intrigued by this idea at Red Heads Craft More Fun and thought I would give it a try.
I waited until they were having a 1/2 price sale on their candle holders at Hobby Lobby and purchased the two pieces I needed for a total of $7.49. :) We had some silicone that my husband helped me use to glue the two together, and voila. (Sorry I didn't take some before pictures to show the two different pieces.)
Here is the vase decorated for Easter. I have to admit I was pretty proud of it and exceptionally excited for the total cost! And that's why I love to read blogs--the creativity is just flowing out there!!! :)

Love your project with your jar. I have been experimenting a little too and love the outcome! Thanks for sharing. Be blessed. Cindy
You did a great job with this and it looks like it was made that way! I agree with you--I, too, love to read blogs to come up with these new ideas! I'm new to blogging in terms of actually writing them but I've been reading for months and love all the creativity and shared ideas!
Hugs, Lana
